This piece was for the art show MARVELOUS art inspired by the world of Marvel Comics 05/24/2013 @ MONDO BIZARRO: ARTE Y COMICS (Galeria Candela) Calle San Sebastian Viejo San Juan, PR 

Inspiration for the piece was the top left corner comic book art of the silver age books. The #102 was the beginning of The Incredible Hulk vol.2 comic run which lasted from April 1968 till March 1999.

Pulverizer vs Wulvoream

Been a while since I last posted anything here.
going to try and change that and be more consistent with post so lets get started.

This here are two drawings I did of characters The Punisher and Wolverine.They where inspired by Marvel Comics What The..?! series. My favorite issues of this comics are the ones that featured artist Hilary Barta where He had this to characters fighting each other. Pretty cool and funny stuff. Notice the #129 on the punisher drawing, little homage to punisher's first appearance in The Amazing Spiderman #129 (Feb.1974) Enjoy!

Old School Marvel

First off we have M'Baku the Man-Ape who is a character created by writer Roy Thomas and artist John Buscema. For the background I used pages from Avengers #62 (1969) and Avengers #78 (1970) which are his 1st and 2nd appearance.
And finally Morbius, the Living Vampire character created by writer Roy Thomas and artist Gil Kane. On this background I used pages from Vampire Tales #1 (1973)

While working on this drawings the soundtrack of Conan The Barbarian kept playing in my head. Best movie soundtrack ever!!

Also the intro song of the 90's oldschool Conan The Adventurer animated series LOL!!

Had a lot of fun drawing them. Bottom left Conan was hugely inspired by John Buscema. One of my favorite artist of all time. Anywho Hope y'all like!

Sweet Chistmas!

I always seen this character but never knew much about him. It wasn't till a couple of weeks ago I bought the Essential Luke Cage/Power Man vol. 1, and let me tell you this is one of the best of the "early" Marvel 70's comics that I've read. I love blaxploitation films and this is like that but on paper. Luke Cage is one bad mutha!
